Implement Accessible Playground Facilities in All Schools

Implement Accessible Playground Facilities in All Schools
The Issue
For many years, in my school district, students with disabilities or injuries have been sidelined and unable to participate fully on the playground due to a lack of accessible facilities. This has led to exclusion and inequality among these students, which is extremely unfair. We believe that all children, regardless of their physical abilities or conditions, should be able to enjoy the fun and camaraderie that a playground offers.
We are calling for the implementation of inclusive playground facilities in all schools. This includes installing wheelchair swings, ramps instead of stairs, and braille on signs or warnings. These modifications will ensure that all children can use the playgrounds safely and inclusively.
According to a report by The National Center on Accessibility (NCA), when children with disabilities are provided with an inclusive environment where they can play alongside their peers without disabilities, it promotes social inclusion and equality (NCA Report 2017).
The time for change is now. Let's make our school playgrounds where every child feels included and valued. Please sign this petition today to urge our local authorities to implement these necessary changes in our schools' playgrounds.
Here is what we hope to change in playgrounds:
-Ramps instead of stairs.
-Wheelchair Swings.
-Wider Slides for people of bigger bodies.
-Braille for any text around playgrounds.
-Complete walls instead of barriers.
-Sensory Equipment.
-Removal of woodchips in place of safer and smoother materials.
-Swings made for all weights.
