The Issue

Sharing my personal experience, Halloween has always been a special time for camaraderie and joy as we go trick or treating late at night with friends. However, the inevitability of school the very next day has often cut short these beautiful moments, forcing us to sacrifice the full enjoyment of the occasion. This isn't just about me and my friends – it affects all students who wish to celebrate Halloween in its entirety. Hence, I propose a no-school day after Halloween, which usually falls on the last day of October.

This is not an unreasonable request; in fact, it upholds students' rights to balance social and academic endeavors. Besides, it's common for countries to have national holidays following major celebrations. For example, some of us have 2 weeks off after New Year's Day. Should Halloween be any different?

Therefore, it's time we consider giving students a well-deserved break following Halloween, optimizing school schedules to ensure the best interests of students.

Please sign this petition and stand up for a balanced student lifestyle. Let's give Halloween the full celebration it deserves.
