I’ve seen it countless times in my community: people frustrated and divided over new laws, feeling powerless to influence decisions that impact their daily lives. Whether it’s about installing flock cameras, defining criminal acts, or addressing the concerns raised by animal rights activists and those who feel it stops them from performing their duties - these are issues that directly affect each one of us. We need a voice, a platform where our collective agreement or disagreement can truly shape the laws that govern our community.

That’s why I’m calling for the introduction of a local voting system where residents can directly vote on new legislative measures in our area. Such a system would empower us, the everyday citizens, to engage actively in our democracy, ensuring our voices are heard and respected by those in power.
