On behalf of my sisters who are passionate participants in their respective sports, we strive for equality, justice, and fairness on every competing field. They, like many female athletes, wish to compete only with peers of their biological gender. Yet, they fully support individuals who transition from male to female wanting to participate in sports. This poses a conundrum--how can we ensure fairness in competition while upholding our commitment to inclusivity?

Research, such as the one conducted by Loughborough University, highlights that people born male have certain biological advantages, like muscle mass and bone density, over those born female (Jones & Arcelus, et al., 2017). Given such findings, it's only fair to question whether biological males or transitioned males should compete in women's sports.

We propose the creation of a new, separate category for transgender athletes. A dedicated category promises transgender athletes their rightful place in sports while preserving the integrity of women’s sports. This petition is not about exclusion, but about making sports equitable, fair, and enjoyable for all, regardless of gender or transition status.
