The Issue

The employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a leading telecommunications company in India, have not been receiving the benefits they duly deserve. Despite their critical role in the country's communication infrastructure, BSNL employees have been denied the implementation of the 3rd Pay Revision Committee (PRC) recommendations and the establishment of a standard pay scale that their counterparts in other public sector undertakings enjoy.

The 3rd PRC recommendations were introduced in 2017 with the aim of revising the salaries of employees in public sector enterprises to keep pace with inflation and improve their living standards. However, despite being eligible, BSNL employees have been left out of this vital revision. This disparity creates undue hardship and affects employee morale, leading to decreased productivity and impacting the overall efficiency of the company.

Moreover, with the rapidly evolving telecommunications industry, BSNL faces tough competition from private players. To keep up, it's essential that the workforce is motivated and adequately compensated. The implementation of the 3rd PRC and a standardized pay scale will not only improve employee satisfaction but will also ensure that BSNL can continue to operate effectively and compete on equal footing.

The government must act swiftly to rectify this situation. We urge the concerned authorities to prioritize the welfare of BSNL employees by implementing the 3rd PRC recommendations and establishing a standard pay scale. Doing so would not only benefit the workforce but also enhance the overall service quality that millions of Indians depend on daily.

Please sign this petition to demand fair compensation for BSNL employees and help pave the way for a more robust and competitive telecommunications sector in India.
