Despite being key to saving lives and assets, the emergency services in Waterberg district, Limpopo, notably the fire department, for Mogalakwena, are not available between 23:00 and 06:00, creating a significant risk to the safety and wellbeing of our community during these crucial hours. Houses could potentially burn down, and fires could spread uncontrollably without immediate attention. This is not simply a hypothetical issue, but a dangerous reality that needs to be addressed urgently. The municipality has a responsibility to protect its residents. We urge the local government to rectify this critical situation urgently by ensuring that emergency services are staffed and operational 24/7. Let's prioritise the safety of Mokopane residents.
