On June 24, 2022, SCOTUS voted in an egregious 5-4 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, turning back the clock on womens rights by 50 years.

Two of those men, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas, both have credible allegations of sexual misconduct against them. The women who were brave enough to speak up were silenced, and now these 2 men, along with 3 other ultra-conservative justices acting on personal beliefs, have taken the rights of uterus owners to bodily autonomy away.

In their confirmations, they were all asked about Roe. Every single one of them said they would uphold Roe, that it was an important precedent that was upheld time and time again, and every single one of them perjured themselves by making the egregious and discriminatory decision to overturn it. Five individuals, three of whom were nominated by a president with many credible sexual misconduct & assault allegations against himself, should not have the power to take a medical decision out of the hands of the patient and their doctor.

These “justices” aren’t doctors, they’re lawyers, and they have no business making medical decisions for 50% of the population. It’s time to tell our government and the representatives in it that human rights violations in our Supreme Court are unacceptable.

The UN and WHO have upheld for many years that abortion is a human right; SCOTUS’s decision to overturn Roe IS a human rights violation, and that is just another of a multitude of reasons these “justices” have no business on the bench of our highest court.

Separation between church and state, which is in our constitution, has been trampled by this malicious and damaging agenda. We have to tell our government that, “For the people, by the people” is not only for non-uterus having people, and people that hold the same religious values as these “justices” do.

This country is supposed to be free for ALL, and these 5 individuals took freedom away from at least 50% of the population. Remember, abortion will always be available for the wealthy; this will affect BIPOC and lower income people radically more than the 1% (i.e. the SCOTUS justices).

Overturning Roe will not stop abortions, it’ll just stop SAFE abortions. Human rights aren’t just for the wealthy, for non-uterus having people, or for people who hold certain religious beliefs.

These 5 MUST be impeached for the sanctity of democracy and human rights, and to put the highest court in the land in the hands of people who are willing and able to put personal beliefs aside to do what is right for all Americans. Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Coney-Barrett, and Gorsuch have proven themselves unable & unfit to uphold their duties as SCOTUS justices and it’s time to fight back.

SCOTUS is supposed to be a non-partisan, secular institution. Obviously they’re not capable of these two critical obligations, to take religion and politics out of their decisions. Now, uterus owners everywhere will suffer for this. Would you want them on the bench if you were on trial?
