This petition is born out of a deep personal concern. The actions of Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, have led us to an alarming crossroad. Donald Trump not only underplayed the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in over 600,000 American deaths (Source: CDC), but also stirred an assault on our very democracy when he incited a violent attack on the United States Capitol on January 6th.

This attack, happening just before President Biden's inauguration, threatened the peaceful transition of power, an inviolable tradition of our nation. His actions even put his own Vice President Mike Pence at risk. And like the final twist of a dagger, he eliminated federal funding for Amtrak, an essential service for thousands of Americans (Source: Office of Management and Budget).

Now, he wishes to absolve the perpetrators of this insurrection and prosecute the very people who stood to hold these assailants accountable. The line was crossed way too far, and it's high time we demand remediation. Twice impeachment processes have been initiated against Trump, reflecting the gravity of his actions. Yet, he still poses a threat to the unity and harmony of our nation.

If another reason why Trump deserves to be impeached is because he took back the money that was previously allocated for Texas High Soeed Rail which would have created a critical link between Dallas and Houston. In doing this, he is in violation of the law, because once funds have been allocated for a transportation project, by law, they cannot be taken back.

The time has come to impeach him a third time and ensure that justice is served. Let's stand up as a community and make our voices heard. We demand his impeachment, once again and for the final time. Please sign this petition and let us stand united against the actions that tarnish our democracy.
