Impeach Kristi Noem Now

Impeach Kristi Noem Now
The Issue
UPDATE: Noem testified in front of the House Committee on March 3rd.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem faced bipartisan criticism during a Senate hearing, with Sen. Thom Tillis calling her leadership “a disaster” and threatening to block nominees over alleged stonewalling of investigations. Democrats pressed her over labeling two people killed by federal agents in Minneapolis as “domestic terrorists,” a claim later contradicted by evidence; Noem expressed condolences but did not apologize or retract the statement. Lawmakers also questioned DHS spending decisions, including a $220 million ad campaign and a proposed jet purchase, while Noem defended the administration’s immigration crackdown, denied arrest quotas, and touted what she called “historic results” on border enforcement.
-----
UPDATE: On January 24 ICE and Border Patrol killed another US citizen - Alex Pretti, a 37‑year‑old ICU nurse in Minneapolis.
DHS claims agents fired in self‑defense after Pretti allegedly approached them with a handgun and “violently resisted.” However, according to multiple videos, eyewitness accounts, local officials, and statements from Alex’s family it's clear that Alex was holding a phone, not a weapon, in the moments before he was tackled by federal agents. Alex was not brandishing a gun.
-----
After a U.S. citizen and mother of three, Renee Nicole Good, was shot dead by an ICE officer in Minneapolis, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem had a choice.
She could have paused federal operations.
She could have demanded accountability.
She could have allowed an independent investigation.
Instead, she sent hundreds more federal agents into Minnesota.
Within days of Renee Good’s killing, Secretary Noem announced a surge of ICE and Border Patrol officers — not to protect the public, but to crack down on protesters and intimidate a city already reeling from violence.
She publicly labeled Renee Good a terrorist.
She defended the shooter before any independent review.
She removed local law enforcement from the investigation.
She escalated force instead of seeking truth.
This is an abuse of power.
Eyewitness video contradicts the administration’s claims. A doctor was blocked from rendering aid. Renee’s car appears to be moving away — not attacking — when the officer fires multiple rounds. Yet Noem doubled down, repeating false claims on national television while flooding the state with federal agents.
This pattern is not accidental. It reflects an administration that has promised impunity to those who wield violence in its name — and a DHS secretary willing to enforce that promise.
Congresswoman Robin Kelly has now introduced articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem, charging her with:
- Willfully obstructing congressional oversight
- Directing unconstitutional actions
- Abusing her office for personal and political ends
- Impeachment is not symbolic. It creates a public record. It forces accountability. It interrupts the normalization of cruelty and lawlessness.
If a cabinet secretary can justify the killing of a civilian, smear the victim, block medical aid, and respond by deploying more armed agents — without consequence — then no one is safe from arbitrary federal power.
We call on Congress to impeach Kristi Noem.

Justice for Renee Good demands it.
Democracy requires it.
Silence is complicity.
