On Friday 1st of July, a dark day for Indian Judiciary unfolded when the vacation bench of the Supreme court comprising Justices Surya Kant and J. B. Pardiwala not only refused to entertain Nupur Sharma's plea, ex- BJP spokes person, for clubbing of FIRs lodged in various states against her, but also categorically and dangerously noted that she is 'single-handedly responsible for the tense situation in the country, which further implied that she is responsible even for the beheading of Kanhaiya Lal by two Muslim assailants on 28 June 2022 in Udaipur.

At the time when everyone is condemning the gruesome murder of Kanhaiya Lal, and appealing for peace across the nation, this unprecedented and unconstitutional remark made by the judges is the worst ever statement made by any sitting supreme court judge that not only acts as a soft shield against the crime and the criminal, but also sets a dark & perilous precedent that could be a harbinger to more such horrific events in future.

Thousands and thousands of people from all fronts of life have already shown their shock and agony against the remarks on social media but the collective sentiment of the Republic of the Union of India demands immediate impeachment of both the judges.

Their impeachment is the key to safeguard the future of the secular fabric of India and will go a long way in creating a positive statement that when truth is ignored by incompetent judges, and impartiality breeds in the highest court of Law, then it is just and right to nail it in the bud, before it can damage the sanctity of the constitution and put innocents in the harms way.

So, towards a peaceful nation, towards a complete law and order situation in the country, towards a safer country where no more Kanhaiya Lal would have to face such a death - twice, this petition demands that both the Supreme court judges be impeached immediately through due process as merely withdrawing the comments is not sufficient (because if it has happened once, it will happen again)

The procedure for removal of the Supreme Court judge is guided by Article 124(4) of the Constitution of India and the Judges (Inquiry) Act, 1968

After Getting 100K Signatures, this petition will be sent (via email, post and social media channels) to all the sitting members of Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha to start the process.
