I appeared before Judge Charny after the mother of my daughter had a suicidal altercation with the police and tested positive for using meth. My reason for appearing was to inform the court that the mother was not being supervised as per the previous court order. Judge Charny completely ignored my testimony and gave a "recovering" addict every weekend plus a weekday. EVERY WEEKEND PLUS A WEEKDAY. She gave a recovering addict of less than a year, more time than I as a sober father had ever been granted by the courts. It literally took my daughters mother testing positive for meth to have the courts grant me full custody. Then after nine months of claimed sobriety on the mothers side the court, without question, granted the mother more time than I as a father have ever been allowed. 

If you are a father in Camden County New Jersey you will see the absolute imbalance in the New Jersey family court. 

If you are not a father in Camden County, let me put it in perspective for you. It took me eight years to get a long and a short weekend. I did not have a drug problem. I just wanted to be a father to my amazing daughter. I just wanted to watch her grow up. The courts fought me on this for eight long years. With one prejudice, I am a father, a male. 

In addition to the above, Judge Charny completely ignored my motion to establish child support, the right to claim my daughter who I single handedly raised for that year, as well as ignored my motion to have my daughters full name put on the court order so I can add my name to my daughters birth certificate. 

This Judge is the most ignorant, sexist, disrespectful, excuse for a human being I have ever encountered (and believe me, she's not the first at Camden County).

After speaking with numerous attorneys regarding this case, I discovered that her shameful conduct on the bench is well know. A tremendous amount of fathers have been subjected to the unjust rulings of Judge Charny. This is why I decided to start to this petition, for all the fathers who have been the victims of the NJ family court system, specifically at the hands of Judge Charny.

It's time we as fathers stand up to this system that has systematically stripped fathers of their roles simply because of their gender. It's time we all take a stand. Help me support fathers like myself who beg the court - BEG the court - to be fathers and have it thrown in their faces.
