This issue is personal to me and many like me in the republic. Our president, Bongbong Marcos Jr., is betraying the constitution and the trust we placed in him. We believe he has committed serious crimes. Crimes that tarnish the office of the Presidency and degrade our democracy. The matter at hand is not just the abuse of power, but the brazen disregard for the constitutional laws that bind our republic.

There are laws in place to protect our rights as citizens, but it seems that Marcos Jr. has taken it upon himself to abandon these norms and the principles our country is founded upon. This appeals to an immediate need for his impeachment. We are not powerless in this situation. Impeachment exists to protect the citizenry from people like Marcos Jr. who abuse their high offices. It is time that we evoke these rights that can hold our leaders accountable.

It is vital to view this as not only a political issue, but moreover, a moral and ethical one. Impeaching Marcos Jr. will not solve all the problems our country faces, but it is a significant step in reviving the faith in our democratic structure and giving us a fighting chance against corruption. 

The injustice that infuses our political landscape must not be overlooked. I am deeply moved to advocate for change because of an individual who holds a position of power yet demonstrates a great disregard for our constitution and the rule of law. This concerns President Bongbong Marcos Jr.

Marcos Jr. has committed numerous illegal acts, infringing on the law that they swore to uphold. His actions have not only tainted the sanctity of the office he holds, but have caused a breach of trust between the public and the political institution he represents.

We need to set an example for future generations, to show them that unlawful actions will not be ignored or forgotten, regardless of the status of the individual involved.
