Save Rosmary

The Issue

Rosmary is a mother of two. She has asthma and diabetes and has been detained at the Pompano Beach Transitional Center since December. During this time, correctional facility workers have made light of her illnesses and have even gone as far as to accuse her of "wanting attention" and "putting on a show." Since her detainment, her condition has worsened and she is only given ibuprofen as treatment. In light of current events, where ICE continues to detain immigrants during a massive global pandemic, Rosmary wonders whether she'll get out of this alive being in such a high risk category. Governor DeSantis, along with countless other politicians and medical personnel, have sounded the alarm that this virus attacks those with preexisting conditions regardless of age. At age 23, Rosmary is too young to die when so much can still be prevented. Please sign the petition below, share, and contact your local officials or media outlets to shed light on this critical issue that so many people currently face in detention centers around the nation. As we face this pandemic, we demand that ICE stop family separation and incarceration NOW!
