Immediately Cut Mass Migration to Australia

Immediately Cut Mass Migration to Australia
The issue
As a longstanding citizen of this beautiful nation, I've seen firsthand the unique culture and spirit that sets Australia apart from the rest of the world. However, the vision of many Australians is threatened. As of the 2021 census, in many parts of our major cities, nearly 80% of residents are foreign born (see below), and in many areas a further 70% or more do not speak English as a first language. Following three years of record high migration under the Albanese Government, these numbers are only higher today. At these levels, assimilation to Australian culture is not possible.
This high influx of immigrants is not just diluting our national identity but also is placing huge pressure on our housing, infrastructure and services.
Both the Labor and Liberal Parties back high levels of immigration. Under the Albanese Government, net migration has been over 500,000 each year. The Liberal Party plans to cut these numbers by only 25%.
It's us, ordinary Australians, who have to bear the consequences. It's us who bear the consequences of the increasingly unaffordable housing market and deteriorating public services and infrastructure. We have been sold a lie of Multiculturalism. Instead many parts of Australia cities are becoming homogenous blocks of foreign cultures, which have no sense of patriotism for Australia.
According to a recent poll from the Institute of Public Affairs only 27% of people aged 18-24 said they would fight for Australia in the event of a military invasion. Our country no longer has a unified national identity and mass migration only makes this worse. This needs to change immediately.
I argue for a more sustainable immigration approach, one that puts Australians first and preserves the essence of our national identity.
This petition asks the Labor and Liberal Parties to drastically cut the unsustainably high levels of immigration and focus on preserving our national identity, cultural unity and easing pressure on housing, infrastructure, and services. It's time to prioritize Australians while maintaining our status as a welcoming, diverse nation. Please lend your support and sign this petition.
