We, the concerned students, parents, educators, and residents of Monroe Township, are calling for the immediate reinstatement of Dr. Chari Chanley as Superintendent of the Monroe Township Board of Education.

As a community we must be assured that decisions impacting our school system are made based on objective evidence and sound judgment, rather than hidden agendas. In Monroe Township, NJ, the justification for Dr. Chanley being placed on administrative leave, cited as “What we heard here tonight,” lacks clarity and tangible evidence, leaving the community--our CHILDREN-- in a state of uncertainty.

It is imperative to restore trust and integrity in our local education system, which starts with transparency and accountability from the very bodies that govern it. The right to a transparent and fair process is foundational, and it appears this was not upheld in the case of Dr. Chanley’s suspension.

Additionally, we insist on full public disclosure of the rationale, evidence, and legal basis behind the Board’s decision. The community deserves to know the factors that have led to such a pivotal change in our educational leadership.

We demand the board of education overturn this baseless decision effective immediately and uphold the oath they made to the community.
