Khant - started this petition to ILBC and

This petition is to express our support that the ILBC student body strongly supports the nonviolent Civil Disobedience Movement, which is against the current Myanmar government that came into power on the 1st February 2021 by staging a coup against our democratically elected government.
We strongly disagree with the unlawful seizure of power from our elected government, and the captivity of our President and our State Counsellor, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

Our generation is the one greatly affected by the suppression of the previous military rule, and we would loathe seeing our freedom taken back once again. Along with the collapse of our economy and the misfortune of our education system in their hands.

We were taught to be socially responsible since young and for that, I do appreciate all the teachers, staff members, and the management of our school. It still feels like yesterday that I've been in the assembly hall singing our national anthem. And then followed by my favorite song, "My Country"

It would be a great honor if our school officially acknowledge and express our support for this peaceful movement.

Stay safe and stay committed to our peaceful movement!
