You see, me and one of my friends were discussing different creatures in online culture, Cheems, bingus, etc. While this was happening I remembered a story of a stylish monkey roaming the IKEA in Toronto. I showed him the news article and we decided to come up with a name, we assumed he had no owner and therefore no name. We started with Binees (Bean-is) and then we landed on Canini (like panini with a Cuh at the beginning) to fit with the other online cats and dogs or other. We had decided on this before I saw the date that this had happened. This happened on December 9th, 2012, nearly 10 years ago. Frightened that he had potentially died I did my research and found out he was still alive and living in Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary, in Sunderland Ontario, but the worst part of it all, he is no longer owned by one person but a sanctuary and his name is Darwin. We believe it is time for a change and a time to let the people decide to let his name be Canini and let him join the online internet animals of legend and be up there with the likes of Juan or water. Let him be the stylish monkey he is and give his jacket back!
