Though there are students who are very intelligent in their respective fields,the GATE calculator make them poor in solving the Basic problems of simple Mathematics or basic Quadratic equations.Although over the span of 4 years in Engineering,the students(we) feel to be dependent on our Calculator for the same.We only get 3 hrs in the exam hall and half of our time waste on solving the basic things which could be done within a second on scientific calculator.

It leads to the loss of large amount of talented students who are very technically sound in their basic concepts but could not crack the exam because of the GATE calculator.

There must be some provisions of allowing the scientific calculator in the final GATE exam.The higher bodies must use some techniques to prevent cheating or something,but there are students who don't cheat and are getting affected adversely by this issue.

Kindly help me out by signing this petition.maybe It could help getting the deserving ones selected for the Industries or PSU's or IITs and not just the students who are just calculating enough and are not very technically sound.
