The IFBB to make a clear judging stance of distended abdomens in bodybuilding.

This petition had 848 supporters

We the people, petition the IFBB to make a clear judging stance on distended abdomens in bodybuilding and to introduce new judging criteria to discourage disproportional mid sections.

Abdomen distention or the 'bubble gut' phenomenon in bodybuilding is ruining the original ideal physique that bodybuilders brought to competitions for decades. The impression Judges give to fans is that some athletes are being rewarded despite having distended abdomens.

This petition seeks to bring to the attention of the IFBB the issue of distended abdomens in bodybuilding competition, and asks that the federation put in place clear judging criteria for the issue of distended abdomens.

- Make the vacuum pose mandatory by including it in the abdominal and thigh pose.
- Mark down athletes that cannot control their mid section anytime whilst on stage.
