ICE OUT LOUISVILLE

ICE OUT LOUISVILLE
The Issue
As of early 2026, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has increased its presence and enforcement in Louisville and throughout Kentucky. These actions have created fear and distress within immigrant communities and among residents who believe these enforcement tactics are harmful and unnecessary. Louisville is no longer recognized as a sanctuary city by the federal government, leading to increased cooperation with ICE and putting many families at risk.
This increased ICE activity has caused serious disruption in our community. Immigrant families are afraid to go to work, school, or even seek medical help because they fear detention or deportation. Children worry about being separated from their parents, and entire neighborhoods feel unsafe. ICE enforcement does not make Louisville safer it creates fear, breaks up families, and damages trust between residents and local institutions.
We believe Louisville should be a city that protects and supports all of its residents, regardless of immigration status. We call on local leaders to end cooperation with ICE, restore policies that protect immigrants, and stand up for the safety and dignity of our community. We demand ICE out of Louisville.
