Ice which is also known as U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcements is detaining all immigrants even if they are legal immigrants.They then take them to Immigration Detention.

This issue is caused by Donald John Trump.Who is doing this to lower the population.The issue first started in 2017 to 2018 when the administration in America started quietly separating immigrants and their families.Can you imagine being forcibly seperated from your familyBut recently in 2025 to this current year the situation has started to worsen. They have started mass deporting immigrants.The issue is worse in Texas,Florida and California as they account for 109,000 arrests.

It has been proven to have multiple effects on people that have gone thought being detained. An example of a short term and long term effect of being detained and taken into immigration detention is, Mental health deterioration.According to kff.org  being detained can have a massive effect on your mental health.It's both a short and long time effect as depending on how you face the situation and your experience it's impact can vary.

Some ways the issue of ICE can.Another way that this issue can be solved is by protesting.This can help the situations as it shows how many people want change. be solved is by getting Trump out of the government.This helps solve the issue as trump was the one to enforce these rules.

 I chose this issue because I believe that it is an important matter.This is because it is impacting so many immigrants in America.A quote that I personally like regarding the issue is "That nobody is illegal on stolen land".I like this quote as it give more perspective and insight, because if you think about it America is stolen land.This is because there were people there when it was colonized and called empty.So if they are taking people away because 'they do not belong there as they came from a different land" they should take everyone away because the people that colonized there are immagrants to.
