At this moment in history the Labor Movement finds itself at a crossroads. As you know, unions everywhere are suffering at unprecedented levels and it is time for us to take stock of what we have accomplished and where we will go in the future. Has our support of the Democrat establishment proven fruitful? Not in the last 40 years. Bernie Sanders has proven that he will make labor unions everywhere a major priority of his. His campaign is about focusing on the middle class, protecting and empowering workers, and taking on the powerful financial interests that are holding unions down. These are all major platforms of his campaign and they all align with what we stand for. The IBEW International Constitution Preamble states in part: "The objects of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers are:  ...To assist each other in sickness or distress; To secure employment; To reduce the hours of daily labor; To secure adequate pay for our work; To seek a higher and higher standard of living; To seek security for the individual; And, by legal and proper means, to elevate the moral, intellectual, and social conditions of our members, their families, and dependents, in the interest of a higher standard of citizenship."

Once again, please DO NOT endorse any other candidate for President as Bernie Sanders is the only candidate that we can trust to work for us.
