I was hit by a 14 ton bus and need your signature to get the help I need for recovery!

The Issue

My petition to the United States Supreme Court was approved by the clerk and now the justices have to decide if they will hear my case. I am asking you to sign this petition and tell the justices that I should get compensation for damages resulting from being hit by a 14 ton Hilton Hotel airport shuttle bus in 2014 while crossing the street in the crosswalk.  I didn’t get any recovery to pay medical bills or cover my losses due to the California court’s decisions. The judges sided with the large corporation and denied the laws that are supposed to compensate for all damages to an injured person by a negligent driver. They failed to account for the fact that I am unable to live the normal life I lived before this happened.

Each day I sound like a different person than I was before, because of a speech impediment from damage to my brain’s speech center. Even my smile has changed due to paralysis on the right side of my face. Each night I go to sleep, I cannot lie flat or on either side and I have to recline as a result of being hit and nearly killed. If I did not have a titanium disc and cage in my neck I would have died. I have unstable spinal discs that cause problems, but doctors tell me it is too risky to operate on my neck because of the seizure disorder from the traumatic brain injury I sustained, and that I should wear a neck brace for the rest of my life. The combination of brain and spinal cord injuries I have cause seizures and strokes that can result from arm movements; touching my neck; riding in the back seat or on a train or bus; or even from a hug. These episodes can cause drop attacks, muteness - where I cannot speak at all, and right sided paralysis lasting days or weeks. I can no longer swim or even sit in a hot tub without having a seizure. I have a left collapsed lung with evidence of tearing around the lung and heart and require an oxygen machine at certain times. I had to have a shoulder and clavicle surgery, wrist injections, vision and teeth correction and more.

I need your help to ask the Supreme Court to address the proper recovery needed to help get the care I need for medical care and losses.

This could happen to you. This could happen to someone you love.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 2020 study, at some point in the day, everyone is a pedestrian, and unfortunately pedestrian fatalities remain high, with 18 pedestrian deaths a day and 125 pedestrian deaths a week in the United States. On average, a pedestrian was killed every 81 minutes and injured every 10 minutes in traffic crashes. Pedestrian deaths were at 6,516 nationwide in 2020, up from the 6,283 deaths reported in 2018, where California had the highest number of pedestrian deaths at 893 souls.

Please add your signature to voice support for granting me a just hearing because pedestrian safety should be taken seriously. Let’s help secure the legal right of every citizen to recover for all damages resulting from the fault of another who is negligent!
