Because club feet don't only look different they fuction different to. For eg: some people can't walk, some people can't walk for a long distance either.little owe run. Others can't stand on the tippy toes or hop, nor balance on one foot some find it hard to balance on two feet. Some people have different size feet like myself one being a size 7 the other a size 10. Try and find a pair of shoes to wear. Yes they do make orthotic shoes. But when you are trying to hide your feet and legs because so you don't get noticed at school so you don't get bullied there not cool. But still classed as cosmeticly different not a disability. I'm 36 and there is not a day that goes bye that I don't suffer from pain. I have been told only to look for a job were im on my feet for 10 hours a week and its still cosmetic only use my heel on one foot. I challenge anyone to walk around like that for a day and then tell me the only difference between me and someone with normal feet that its just cosmetic and not a disability. Not only do the people who are both with club feet affected, the whole family is as I know about that first hand to. I have a son with club feet a lot worse then mine and at the age of one week he was in plasters every week they would get changed that was for the first 8 months of his life. Every week I would take him and his sister to the hospital to get new plasters on. He would cry and scream the whole time and the whole way home. Try keeping a new born clean with full leg plaster casts. Not easy. But it's still classed as cosmetic not a disability. See how you go watching you 8 month old get put to sleep to have his first of many many oppartions. That's more them cosmetic. Out of four generations there has been three in our family with club feet. I'm not asking for pitty just understanding. I'd love to be able to park in a disabled car park at the shops as it hurts to walk but due to our health system my feet and many other are only cosmetically different nothing ales. Please help me and many others get the help we need and sigh this petition and share it with your friends. Thank you Simone Minns
