We oppose authoritarianism through lawful democratic expression.

We, the people of Tamil Nadu and citizens who believe in democracy, strongly condemn every unconstitutional, authoritarian, and politically motivated attempt to weaken the democratic voice of the State.

We express our support for Vijay and the stand taken by Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam in raising concerns against the increasing interference of the Governor’s office and the divisive politics of the BJP-led Union Government.

The Constitution of India was built on the principles of federalism, secularism, social justice, and democratic accountability. No Governor’s office should function as a political weapon to obstruct elected state governments or suppress the voice of the people.

Tamil Nadu has a long history of resisting authoritarianism, protecting linguistic identity, safeguarding social justice, and defending constitutional values. Any attempt to undermine these principles through misuse of constitutional posts, selective governance, political intimidation, or central overreach must be condemned strongly and democratically.

This campaign is not against India — it is for the protection of India’s constitutional spirit.

We call upon:

Democratic forces across India to speak against authoritarian practices.

Constitutional authorities to remain politically neutral.

Citizens to defend federalism and democratic institutions.

The Union Government to respect the rights and autonomy of states.

We stand united for democracy, constitutional morality, and the rights of the people of Tamil Nadu.
