Remove the Criteria of 60% aggregate marks for Engineers to get into IITs and NITs

Remove the Criteria of 60% aggregate marks for Engineers to get into IITs and NITs
The Issue
Nowadays, India is producing millions of Engineers every year. Not everybody gets good marks in graduation courses. Securing 60% marks can't be the sole reason for his/her intelligence or decision making ability.
IITs and NITs and Several Public Sector Companies have criteria of securing at least 60% marks (65% for most) in graduation for General Category and OBC students. It comes down to 50% or 55% for SC/ST/PWD students which is unfair. Because of this criteria, even after securing excellent marks in Qualifying exams such as GATE and JEE, students are not able to get into premier institutes or get good jobs even after graduating.
Please stop this barbarism and remove this criteria. Give everyone, an equal opportunity to compete. Jai HInd.
