The details of the briefing by Sir Patrick Vallance and colleagues have been confirmed. The good news is that Peers for the Planet are co-hosting the event, which means that Members of the House of Lords will also be attending. The briefing will now be held online to ensure that as many MPs and Peers as possible can attend. Although the event won't be lived streamed, a recording will be made available to all members of the public, and I will be providing a link to the recording as soon as it's available.
Please could you call your MPs today, and confirm that they will attend. This is really important, given the rather distracting environment at Westminster at the moment. I've included a template below that gives you some pointers for the conversation.

- Scroll past councillors to find your MP and click on their name

I’m phoning about the climate briefing for MPs that’s taking place on Monday.
I wanted to make sure that your MP has received the invitation from Caroline Lucas.
I know how busy MPs will be at the moment but it’s really important that he/she attend this official briefing by the UK chief scientific advisor Sir Patrick Vallance and top climate scientists.
It’s from 3.30 to 5pm, this Monday July 11 via Zoom.
