I the undersigned support and want the creation of Highfield Parish Council bounded by Hixberry Lane to the East; Alban Way to the North; Hill End Lane to the West and the Hill End District Council Ward boundary to the South.

About Highfield Ward

This lovely green space is popular with dog walkers and cyclists from all over St Albans. It was created in 1996 after Cell Barnes and Hill End mental hospitals were closed and redeveloped and some of their vast grounds were transformed into what is now Highfield Park.

in December 2022 - Following a review, St Albans District Council (SADC) has decided that Highfield must become unparished, meaning we have 1200 homes with no voice or democracy, including. Your current Highfield Cllrs and Colney Heath Parish Council support this petion:

•  Less chance to protect and support Highfield Park
• Your precept won’t be spent in Highfield 
•  Limited representation
• No voice to be heard
• No rights to be formally consulted 
• Limited ability to affect SADC decision making
