I Y. Raghu Rama Rao (Founder of PraHari Trust) would like to bring to your notice on the FTL Violation Of Achari Kunta Lake (ID:2784), Nizampet, Bachupally Mandal, Telangana.

We from PraHari Trust who are developing Achari Kunta lake as local partner and in association with iNaturewatch Foundation according to the irrigation permission letter Lr.No: EE/IB/HYD/DB/HD/D1/2020-21/745 Dt: 29-07-2020. The entire lake is given for the rejuvenation works with the help of CSR funds and we have been developing the lake till now with the help of Municipal Corporation.

Recently the Hyderabad Water works department (HMWSSB) tried to initiate laying of water connection pipeline inside the FTL boundaries of the lake to nearby Vignan School. We have requested to stop them the works multiple times as it is FTL land and also requested to lay the water pipeline outside the FTL boundaries. But after repeated requests also they are frequently trying to lay the new water pipeline inside the FTL boundaries. We sincerely request to save the water bodies for the future generations and take action on this and not allow any non-developmental activities inside the FTL boundaries.  Also, there is a CC road and drainage constructed inside FTL of this lake towards Vignan School and request to remove the same.

So we request CC ROAD, Drainage line and waterpipe line to be removed inside the FTL of Achari Kunta Lake and also request government to handover the encroached part of the lake.

I have given representation and till now there is no reply / update from any department. NHRC has created a case and redirected to Principal Secretary Telangana and hoping to see some action. We want to bring this concern to public and we need support in creating a PIL on this issue
