As many of you know, NYC schools have been closed, not until April 29th, but unfortunately for the rest of the year. So to compensate for this devastating issue, we propose this plan for HPCMS Seniors. 

1. One week before school reopens in September, have a fast-track graduation ceremony. No frills, no speeches, no cap and gown, just 8th graders receiving their diplomas as a group.

2. After the graduation ceremony, cast members of Fiddler on the Roof Jr. will perform the opening song for the play. The students that aren't in the play can be in the audience if they wish.

3. Additional brief activities subject to demand.  

4. Students pick up all their belongings from their lockers, final goodbyes, and leave the premises. 

The entirety of this gathering will take about an hour of the administration's time, no more, no less. I submit this proposal on behalf of the 8th grade students at HPCMS. Please sign and share this petition widely if you support this proposal.
