Hunter College has always stood for its students and now more than ever they need to stand up to let the city of New York know who really matters. The Hunter College bridge, connecting the West and South buildings, is known for having unique murals that convey our communities and beliefs. It's clear that the mural needed now is one that says "BLACK LIVES MATTER". A mural that can be seen by all who will walk or drive by the city's streets. Hunter College is only 11.1% Black or African American. It is time to make a change for the future of our city and country.
