Reverse the new Hunt middle school BYOD policy

The new BYOD policy restricts kids from using there device(s) at Hunt MS unless next to a teacher. This makes educational apps and tools like using Kahoot! impossible to use; all kids would have to be next to the teacher to do so. It also doesn’t allow kids to listen to music in core classes. As research has shown, some kids need to listen to music to tune out distractions. Even though teachers can play music in the classroom, kids will still talk and be distracting. Students have been quieter with their own music. The old BYOD rules worked just fine and were very helpful for learning. Now, you will get an automatic detention if you use your device outside of the new rules, which is harsh as there are no longer any warnings. With this in place, kids are more reluctant to want to learn. If the dress code can be changed, this can be, too.
