Pass All Humble ISD Students For The Spring Semester

The Issue

In Hopes Of Aiding To The Parents, Students, And Teachers, Humble ISD Should Pass All Their Students For The Spring Semester Due To The Pandemic Of COVID-19. Many Students Are Depending On The Last Couple Weeks Of School To Raise Their GPAS Or To Pass That Grade Level. With Online Classes Many Students Do Not Have Access To These Tools To Help Them Keep Up With Their Education. With A World Pandemic We Should Be Focusing On Our Mental And Physical Health. All Though Education Is Very Important, There Are Other Issues At Hand That We Need To Focus On As A Community. In Humble ISD Alone There Are Over Hundreds Of Homeless Kids Who Go To School To Get Basic Needs, And Online School Prevents Them To Keep Up With Their Classes. In Other Worries All GPAs Could Lower Due To Students Not Being Able To Perform As Well As They Would In An Actual Physical School Environment Such as Their Classrooms. Many Kids Need To Be Encouraged To Participate And With Online School There Are More And More Kids Who Are Unmotivated To Keep Up With Their Education, And Likely To Fall Through The Cracks. We Should Not Allow This Pandemic To Cause More Harm To Our Community By Not Allowing Students The Proper Time And Tools Needed To Finish Their School Year. This Pandemic Is Causing Stress and Anxiety To Many Students Therefore Giving Them Little To No Motivation To Work On Their Online Classes Because They Are So Focused On Everything Happening Around them. There Are Many Students In Humble ISD Who’s Parents Have Lost Or Had Their Hours Cut Due To This Pandemic And Many Of Them Are Having To Work To Support Themselves And Their Families, We Do Not Feel Like Online School Would Be Beneficial For Students At This Time. To Pass Them Would Allow Students To Focus On What Is Necessary In Their Home Environment.  We As Students Of HISD Are Reaching Out In Hopes That You Will Have Sympathy For Us With All That Has Happened And Is Happening To Us Today.
