As public schools closed on March 12 and other post-secondary institutions like Laurentian University suspended physical classes for online learning, Humber College remained open amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

This petition is for any Humber College or University of Guelph-Humber student that believes physical attendance should no longer be required by the institutions for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic increase in Canada.

The Chief Medical Officer of Ontario recommended gatherings of 250 or more be canceled during a March 12 press conference. Other provinces have outlawed such crowd sizes.

If the Ontario government believes that it is critical enough to close elementary and high schools, then it is time for Humber College to consider doing the same.
