Love, Victor is a series loved by many, namely those of us in the LGBTQ+ community as well as Latine people who connected strongly with the message of the show—of love and acceptance of ourselves and who were are, of weathering the struggles of coming out and becoming confident in ourselves regardless of our cultural or family upbringing, and of course, of seeing ourselves reflected onscreen in a big-budget production.

This series has been a comfort for many over these past few years. And the showrunners’ and actors words about encouraging other production companies to take on more diverse stories and do them justice is one that is extremely important. It’s a shame that after all the importance placed on this, the series has to end after only 28 episodes which are 30 minutes long.

Victor’s story deserves better. All the characters’ stories deserve better. It really did seem like it was just the beginning and to be blindsided with news that it’s ending has left many of us reeling.

We would like for it for get another shot to show that yes, there IS more to the story after coming out! We didn’t get to see that yet. This deserves to keep going or be picked up by other writers/networks.
