To stop HCC felling any of the existing 143 trees in Queens Gardens HULL
The Issue
We need to stop the mass tree-felling plans for Hull's Queens Gardens scheme.
Queens Gardens is a beautiful established space in the heart of our city & has held many great events, despite the trees.
The mature tree's do not obstruct views across the gardens, they add to the beauty of the view, we don't want or need another sterile open space.
These trees are not only beneficial to the wildlife, they are beneficial to all who visit the gardens & aid calmness & peace in the only large garden in the area.
In a time when the council are supposed to be helping to alleviate global warming, felling these trees would be detrimental to what the local council is trying to portray for our great city.
I strongly object to these planning proposals, which do nothing to move the city of Kingston Upon Hull towards its aim to be carbon neutral by 2030.
The cutting down of so many mature trees are likely to increase carbon levels and exacerbate air quality in the city centre.
Please listen to the people of this great city & stop this felling now!
I am saddened this is even being considered, & hope we can all stop this, before it's too late!
