Larry Russell, the superintendent for the Hudson NH school district, is moving Steve Beals into a new position regarding Alvirne High School’s CTE. Principal Beals is loved by the Hudson community and is a wonderful principal. There is no one else who loves his job and Alvirne as much as him. Principal Beals has saved the Town of Hudson upwards of one million dollars over the past year by successfully administering both the CTE Construction Project and his position of building principal through his work in both roles. 

Despite Principal Beals' many years of commitment to Alvirne students and the Hudson community, Larry Russell has removed him from his position and has assigned a lesser experienced interim principal in his place. In the middle of a worldwide pandemic when students need as much continuity, consistency and stability as possible, Larry Russell has removed the one constant that is Alvirne High School.  Student mental health should be a top priority and Larry has failed to understand that Principal Beals has longstanding relationships with his students and will ensure that his students have a safe and comfortable transition this fall.  This is yet another example of the superintendent making decisions without school board discussion.

Despite a huge show of support from the Hudson community for Principal Beals at school board meetings, emails to school board members, and thousands of signatures to save his position as principal, Larry is not listening to Hudson families.  Please sign this petition to show the Hudson School Board that Larry does not have our students best interest in mind.  Principal Beals deserves to continue as the principal at Alvirne High School.  Larry's history jumping from various jobs in Manchester, New Jersey and Las Vegas proves he is not committed to Hudson.  When he jumps to his next job, we need to make sure we have committed leaders at the helm of our schools; and Principal Beals has proven that he always puts Hudson students first.
