"Do not postpone NEET 2020"

"Do not postpone NEET 2020"
The Issue
NEET 2020 should not be postponed beyond July 26th, 2020 since already enough time has been at the disposal of students preparing for this exam. It does not seem that we will see a declining trend in number of fresh COVID-19 cases any time sooner. Situation may even worsen in next 2-3 months when most activities would peak. Exam can not therefore be postponed time and again. Students who are preparing for this exam are already under immense anxiety and stress due to speculation in the media about postponement and/or cancellation of exam. NTA under the direction of HRD ministry should liaison with states (by appointing state nodal officers) to ensure that all logistic arrangements (such as provisions for enough number of well ventilated examination centres with appropriate seating arrangement with required physical distancing, transportation, availability of masks, sanitizers) are made well in time. Conducting NEET exam on time means prioritizing health, not otherwise! This approach is best bet under current scenario as it will be minimally disruptive (from health perspective vis-a-vis covid-19) and will also ensure that academic session begins on time.
