Sexual assault and abuse is truly a problem that students across Howard University's campus face. We want to take a stand in spreading awareness and educate one another on this issue. Howard University has a history of sexual assault cases, especially within the last four years. As of recently, students and alumni took to social media to share their stories about the sexual violence they experienced. on campus. We need to make this campus safer for all faculty, staff, and students that call Howard University a home. 

We want to start off by having an annual awareness walk to get people to learn more about this issue in order to make Howard a more safe place. With an awareness walk like this, we implement the type of culture that Howard is and should be. Signing this petition would help us present this idea to administration and even the Office of Residence Life. Gaining your support will be great for the future of Howard, and the morals that we stand by as students and young adults.
