A motion of no Confidence against the entire Tory Government

A motion of no Confidence against the entire Tory Government
The Issue
We ask that you call for a motion of no confidence against the Conservative government, once you have read our reasons below. I and many others believe that the Tory government are failing the people it is there to serve. It’s not just other parties and the public that have no confidence in the Tory government but it also appears that even a number of Tory MP’s are against what their own party is doing.
Public outcry is now at the forefront of our newspapers, t.v and social media with many people starting to wake up and realise that this government is failing all but the very wealthy.
Here are my following reasons for why I ask you to call for a vote of no confidence;
The Tory government have failed on:
► The Trade Deficit
► The welfare cap
► Failed to tackle inequality, shown by the governments actions attacking the disabled with cut after cut taking from the most vulnerable in society, not only that but also the 80% of the public spending cuts have fallen on women in our society showing clearly an abundancy of inequality.
► Growth has been revised down on numerous years and is forcast for every year,
► Business investment revised down
► Government investment revised down
► A budget paid for by the most vulnerable and who can least afford it
Billions of pounds worth of cuts to the disabled & public services while tax cuts are given to the very wealthy, which if these tax breaks were not given to the very wealthy, the money generated from these wealthy people would ease the strain on the country and pay for the cuts that this government has forced on the most vulnerable in society
Debt has dramatically increased, although they said they would be paying off the debt and reducing it
►We were promised no more child benefit cuts by the government in 2015. Child benefit hasn't technically been cut. But it has been frozen - and will have been for seven of the 10 years to 2020/21 - giving parents less as inflation rises. According to the Office for Budget Responsibility that means the first child rate will have fallen 14.4% in real terms over a decade?
►In 2010 the government promised a balanced structural budget by 2015, we’re now one year past that and in 2016 there is still no structural budget
►The government promised the House and the country that the richest would “pay more than the poorest. Not just in terms of cash but as a proportion of income as well” – this has not happened in the 6 years since the promise was made - The institute for fiscal studies, an independent organisation found that “The poorest have suffered the greatest proportionate losses”
►We were promised no child tax credit changes David Dimbleby pushed Mr Cameron on the detail, saying some people were clearly worried. The PM replied: "Child tax credit we increased by £450. It's not going to fall." The Summer 2015 Budget then announced the Government would limit support to families with two children from 2017.
►The Tory manifesto promised to 'work to eliminate child poverty'. Two months later Iain Duncan Smith scrapped child poverty measures and targets in a move condemned by activists. The Work and Pensions Secretary announced plans to remove the official measure, which defines a child as being in poverty if it is in a household with less than 60% of the national median average income. Instead, the government will define poverty not in terms of money, but by measuring the number of workless households and educational attainment of children.
►Iain Duncan Smith has repeatedly said he'll protect the weak. He told the Commons on June 22 2015: "It is our intention to protect the most vulnerable, including the disabled".
Two weeks later the summer budget hit thousands of disabled and sick people on Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). This policy was defeated in the house of lords on the 2nd March 2016 and rejected only for the government to vote for it to be forced through anyway without doing an impact report. Anyone who is declared fit for 'work-related activity' will have their payments lowered by £30 a week to the same rate as jobseekers' allowance.
Also after a court hearing which re-defined the term Aids within Personal Independence Payment added more items to the list. The government found a way around that and from April 2017 the points for people who have to use aids or can’t use the toilet or get dressed without aids will receive 1 less point for each descriptor section. Cutting peoples PIP by £3,500 a year. Since the budget was announced and after major public outcry the Tory government has had to pull a U-turn on the cuts, along with Iain Duncan Smith resigning stating that he dint agree with the way policies were being put into place showing that he didn’t have confidence in his own party’s approach to the way they are creating policies and running the country.
►The Tory manifesto promised that “a clear objective to build affordable homes” would be at the heart of a Tory Government’s housing policy. But the Budget contained a move to hit social housing rents by 1% a year. The aim was to bring down the soaring housing benefit bill, but what it's done is reduce the amount of spare cash in housing associations' coffers. According to the Office for Budget Responsibility, that will mean 14,000 fewer affordable homes are built over the four years of the rent hit.
►And for their numerous failing with the NHS I & many others ask that you give the public a voice and a chance to elect a new government who can command the confidence of both parliament and the public.
If you do ask for this motion to be called and it is successful we the people will welcome a new general election taking place withing 25 days of the motion being successful as stated in the fixed term parliament act.
Thank you for your time.
