Having become increasingly concerned with the disgusting acts of violence and neglect committed against animals, which seems to be increasing every year, I started this petition with the hope of encouraging people to realise this is a serious issue that needs resolving. As a nation of so-called animal lovers, it is shocking that this behaviour continues to occur and little is done about it - the police do not take any acts like this seriously as no proper laws are in place. Signing this petition can help make the policy-makers realise proper punishment should be in place.
