Gohar Khan started this petition to Hanif Khan (Hounslow Council)

Following consultations taken place during lockdown, with only a handful of letters recieved by a handful of residents. Say No the introduction of parking permits on Atcham Road, Catherine Gardens, Chatsworth Crescent, Dalmeny Crescent, Ellerdine Road, Leigh Road, Norbury Avenue and Tudor Road. Please sign to object to any form of Permit Holder zones or Parking zones. Whether fully restrictive or for CPZ Event days only, sign up by signing this petition we object to such parking restrictions or proposals.

Limitations on parking on event days, cost of visitor books when they run out, added to restrictive parking bays already put in place, we DO NOT want more restrictions to residents, potential costs, limitation to our visitors or inconvenience.

This will only be the start of more road access changes, the restrictions on how many permits per households with larger families. People have adult kids who can’t afford to buy a place of their own. Tenants won’t be car sharing, which household in this day and age can rely without a vehicle and it’s not uncommon have a car per adult due to age impact on insurances, tax etc.

The events in Twickenham outside of covid are almost every weekend and suggested amount of visitor permits would mean residents have to quickly resort to buying more. Most residents feel no impact, or impact occasionally once or twice a year; for that the council sees fit to introduce a scheme which does not benefit residents in long run. Please sign and share.
