The Volkswagen Corrado was a liftback sport coupe made by Volkswagen from 1988 to 1995. Although only about 100 thousand units were made, the car was praised for it's aesthetics, handling, and impressive technology for the time, which included a rear speed-actuated spoiler. The Corrado was also the first car to offer Volkswagen's VR6 engine, which went on to become one of their greatest and most sought after engines.

Although the Corrado did not take off in the way that Volkswagen wanted it to at launch, it has gone on to become a sought after classic, with a cult like following. In 2020, it was featured on Hagerty's 2020 Bull Market list, and has skyrocketed in both price and desirability.

With all of this considered, I think it is past time that the Volkswagen Corrado get it's well earned Hot Wheels die cast, and I know there are many, many in the Corrado community that feel the same!
