I am advocating for women worldwide that they be offered the choice to receive an ultrasound when admitted to the hospital or birthing center before delivering their baby if a.) to be certain of the position of the baby, or b.) The baby is overdue (baby is born after 42 weeks of pregnancy) or c.) the mother is experiencing prolonged labor (20 hours of regular contractions).  This would help prevent and detect any life-threatening complications and would help determine the necessary course of action to take to deliver the mother's baby in the safest way possible, protecting the health of the mother and the baby.
