In May of last year, I learned that the Tulsa Trail school was left without a nurse for the day. The action plan was to have a nurse from one of our other schools come in the event of an emergency.  I was assured that this was not known by Ms. Randina and that the matter would be discussed.  I have yet to hear back.  Today I found that Tulsa Trail is again without a nurse for the day. A SUB WAS NOT BROUGHT IN and PARENTS WERE NOT NOTIFIED.  Those with children with life threatening food allergies, respiratory concerns and other conditions know the importance of response time in an emergency.  Even those without children with health concerns know that accidents happen and want their child cared for immediately. Waiting for a nurse to come from one of our other schools (leaving that school without medical coverage) is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please join me in letting our BOE know that this blatant disregard for the safety of our children WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
