On April 27, 2022, my father, David A. "Mono" Wood, was tragically taken from us at 6 Wabeno Street in Roxbury.

To many people, he wasn't just a mechanic-he was the person you called when your car broke down, when you couldn't afford repairs, or when you simply needed someone who cared. My dad spent years helping friends, neighbors, and complete strangers, often asking for nothing in return.

He was known throughout the community for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need Today, my family is asking the City of Boston to honor his life by placing an honorary street sign reading "David A. Wood Way" where he lost his life.

This isn't about how my father died.

It's about how he lived.

If my dad ever helped you, fixed your car, made you laugh, gave you advice, or touched your life in any way, I would be honored to have your support.
