The Pittsburgh Planning Commission will hear the proposal to demolish the former Tito family garage/Latrobe Brewing Company beer distributorship next Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

I hope that folks who supported the historic designation will weigh in with their comments to the Pittsburgh Planning Commission. Instructions for submitting testimony are in the linked page above. This may be the last opportunity to prevent the demolition of this historic building. The redevelopment proposal will adversely affect the Tito-Mecca-Zizza House historic site and endanger any opportunity to list it in the National Register of Historic Places. The diminished integrity to the historic landmark could also hinder its ability to attract grant monies, tax credits, etc. for future rehabilitation projects. 

The deadline to submit written testimony is noon, Monday April 1, 2024.
