The 11th gen Honda Civic sedan was revealed on Wednesday April 28th, 2021. It has been said the incoming non-performance Honda Civic hatchback variant will get a manual transmission and of course the famed Civic Si and Civic Type-R which are always and have forever been manual transmission only.

Unfortunately, Honda left out one problem. Honda did not bring back the manual transmission for the sedan variant body style and this was a huge opportunity missed and lost for those who love to shift their own gears, but don't like the hatchback variant and don't care much about the performance of the Si and Type-R. This needs to change.

You can't offer a manual on one body style, but not offer it on the other. It is a double standard to the consumer who enjoys a manual and NOT a CVT. Here's the solution. As Honda brings back the manual for the non-performance hatchback, the manual transmission needs to come back to the non-performance sedan. I propose that Honda offers the manual Civics on two trims: The 'Sport' sedan trim and the 'Touring' sedan trim to be fair across the board. Sign this petition and let Honda know to make the manual fair across the board for all body styles, not just one variant.
