Cayman Islands People-Intitiated Referendums
Apr 1, 2019

THANK YOU FOR SIGNING THE PETITION!

With your help signing and sharing this petition to keep the Marriage Law to remain between one man and one woman in the Cayman Islands, over 3,509 people have signed the petition in two days.

Since we only need 5,286 registered voters to present a petition to government to put this to a national vote, we are very close to reaching the required 1,777 remaining petitions which we expect to reach before tomorrow.

We anticipate confirming every petition as being signed by a registered voter through the Elections Office's Electoral Register and having the Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh Day Adventists and the Cayman Ministers Association present to Cabinet only petitions from registered voters by this Friday, 5th April 2019.

Then the Cayman Islands Government can begin the process to set a date for this People-initiated Referendum so that the people can vote and instruct our legislatures to keep the Marriage Law marriage definition as being between one man and one woman.

So far, the highest number of confirmed registered voters came from the polling district of BODDEN TOWN EAST.

The second highest number of confirmed registered voters came from the polling district of BODDEN TOWN WEST.

PROSPECT and RED BAY each tied for the third highest number of confirmed registered voters.

Ranked in fourth place were each tied for the highest number of confirmed registered voters from GEORGE TOWN CENTRAL, GEORGE TOWN WEST, NEWLANDS, WEST BAY NORTH and WEST BAY SOUTH.

If you know someone who might be interested in signing this online petition, please share this with them since it is really easy and takes less than two minutes to sign.
