Petition to remove current HOA board of Jacobs Creek

Petition to remove current HOA board of Jacobs Creek

The Issue

The Home Owners of Jacobs Creek believe that the current Board members Mace Johnson, Cynthia Hines, and Robert Huderski have misled the community, actively worked to obscure the function of the HOA and MJS. The Home Owners also feel that the Board has not been transparent in the management of funds and have misused the funds on ventures that the community feels are unnecessary.

There is also a grave concern that a conflict of interest exists for our President of the HOA, Mace Johnson, to work for the Management company MJS. An HOA should be a body that works for the community, and the management company works to those ends. Taken as a whole, there are serious questions about the current Jacobs Creek HOA board operating with the best interest of the community. There exists a pattern of decisions being made as the board desires without input from the community. The By-Laws of the community could and should have been rewritten during the transfer of the HOA to reflect what Jacobs Creek homeowners needs to maintain safety, order, house values and a sense of community. Contrary to this, the board has refused any conversation on this point, and choose to stay with the By-Laws determined by Great Southern Homes – Standards that applied to a subdivision under construction and not a vibrant neighborhood reflective of the homeowners. This topic has been brought up several times with the HOA Board, but home owners find their requests and opinions fall on deaf ears.

The community will present this petition to the Board to call a special meeting to remove Board members according to our community bylaws. If you agree and would like to attend the meeting to discuss removing the current board members for the reasons above or any additional reasons, please indicate by signing your name and providing your address and phone number below.
